Who We Are

Institute of Socio-Political Technologies Kybernetes

ITSP Kybernetes is an organization and supporting network of researchers, engineers, and experts working at the intersection of OSINT, information security, societal resilience, and countering disinformation.

Our mission is not only to diagnose the mechanisms of manipulation. We also build practical capabilities – tools, methods, educational programs, and informational activities – that strengthen the resilience of society and institutions against harmful narratives, influence operations, and hybrid threats.

Mariusz Żabiński – represents the organization in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Resilience Council, where he co-creates recommendations on resilience and countering international disinformation, including as the leader of the science team.

Cognitive Defence – what's it about

Cognitive Defence is our development direction and framework of action: we treat cognitive resilience as an element of public security. We combine a systems perspective, analytical practice, and tool engineering to:

  • detect and understand influence operations and their diffusion mechanisms earlier,
  • strengthen the capacity of institutions and communities to maintain cognitive coherence under conditions of information pressure,
  • translate analyses into operational recommendations, procedures, and ready-to-use tools.

What We Do

Research and Analysis

  • create reports, analyses and expert studies on threats in the infosphere
  • prepare recommendations for public institutions and stakeholders responsible for resilience and information security
  • develop methodologies for mapping information confrontations and systemic modeling of influence phenomena

Technology Development

  • design mechanisms that automate analytical processes (from data acquisition to synthesis of conclusions)
  • build AI workflows, AI agents and MCP components to support analysts' work
  • develop monitoring of information channels and early warning systems
  • create tools supporting OSINT and influence analysis, including solutions for content categorization, narrative detection and entity relationship mapping

Education and Expert Support

  • conduct webinars, workshops and consultations for journalists, administration, NGOs and academic communities
  • support educational initiatives of students interested in information security
  • share knowledge through publications, tutorials and documentation
  • provide expert support to teams, institutions and organizations engaged in information resilience

Key Projects

In Development

Anansi Web

platform for mapping information networks, analyzing influence and tracking narratives in open sources – supports research on influence operations and disinformation phenomena

Cognitive Defence Fund

fund supporting research, technology and education in the field of cognitive security – enables us to build information resilience capabilities

Why We Need Your Support

The threat environment is changing faster than institutions can adapt. We increasingly encounter influence campaigns supported by automation, bots, precise targeting, and multi-channel operations.

Your support enables us to:

  • work on necessary research and analysis before problems become crises
  • build tools that can be used by anyone – from small organizations to institutions
  • share knowledge more widely than commercial conditions would allow
  • engage young people – students and junior analysts – who will become leaders in this field
  • maintain independence from commercial and political pressure

Become Our Patron

If you want to have a real impact on the protection of reliable information and the building of societal resilience – you can become our patron.
